This title sequence centers on the idea of travel, and touches on both the setting of the film and the characters it follows by utilizing a road trip as a main narrative device. The sequence opens on a loose representation of evening drive from I-75 South into the city center, as told by the billboards one may encounter along the way. As the sequence progresses, the boards begin to appear more dilapidated, until they nearly take on the aesthetic of half-burnt neon signs for a place you wouldn’t want to go. Like Baby’s trajectory into a life of crime, we transition into a dark evening as the title sequence progresses.
